ECHA identifies seven chemicals of very high concern

The European Chemicals Agency (ECHA) has released proposals to identify seven chemicals as substances of very high concern as well as potential candidates for authorisation. Following the query of the European Commission, Belgium (together with Austria and Poland), Denmark, France and ECHA have introduced proposals to identify the seven worrying chemicals, which are suspected to have harmful impacts on human health. These proposals are open for anyone to comment on by 7 April 2011.
